The outdoor playhouse in your yard will be the hangout of the kids most of the day now that it is summer because there is no school for them to attend. Adults, especially dads, are away at work, so the outdoor playhouse is one way of keeping the kids in one place while Mom does her many chores in the house.

If there are still some of the children table and chairs missing which you were supposed to complete before the end of classes, get them right away on your way home from work.

So, if she has asked you for the chairs still lacking in the furniture set for the kids, help her out by buying them immediately.

Mom has to use her imagination to keep the children occupied with the jigsaw puzzles and other games out in the yard for the kids to get some sun and exercise, and to prevent them from playing too much with the computer games inside the house. Her doctor friend has advised her to limit the hours of the kids with the computer to avoid developing some eyesight problems, which some kids are having due to long hours before the computer.

She has every reason to nag you into fully equipping the playhouse with the kids table and chair as she even serves their lunch out there in the yard. That is one way she can test the girls on whether they have learned the cooking lessons she has been giving them the past few days – get the kids, especially the boys, to taste the cooking of the girls. The children on some days are even joined by the neighbor’s kids at lunch, the girls just being so proud of their cooking.

The only break Mom has these days from the kids being in the house too much, and maybe on her nerves sometimes, is for you to push through with those weekend beach outings you promised her and the kids. Now that the beaches beckon as the weather is just fine for the swimming trips, get going on that pledge of yours you have been repeating over dinner.
