The childs table and chair set are among the most abused of the kid’s playthings if you do not exert effort and patience in maintaining them in good condition.  Knowing how children are so active, they could destroy their kiddy furniture easily if dads and moms do not take the time and effort in teaching them on their proper use and maintenance. Teaching them on their toys and children's equipments, like their children’s furniture, will be good lessons in discipline you can inculcate in the kids in their early years. 

How should you do this teaching on the care of their kids table and chairs interesting enough to catch and hold the children’s attention? Maybe you should not just be constantly talking and lecturing them on how to take care of their furniture, how to clean them and keep them in good shape, and so forth and so on. You know how difficult it is to hold the attention of kids especially when their desire to play will surely be distracting all the time. 

Maybe one way of getting the kids' attention when you do the instructions on the kids' furniture is to offer rewards on who among the kids do the best cleaning and maintenance of the chairs assigned to them. A daily inspection at first may be necessary for you to do on the results of their efforts on the kids table and chairs sets. This will however get the children used to the routine, and later on, they will just develop the habit of the proper maintenance of their furniture.

Another way is to let the kids play the role of the mother or father for the day and rotate such role-playing every day. It will be good training for the kids when you do this, good lessons for them when they shall have grown up to adults. The kid playing the mother or father role will do the inspection of the kids’ furniture, instead of you doing the inspection yourself.

This could lead however to a little trouble among the kids, especially if some are a bit overbearing in the playing of their assigned task. Nevertheless, this is all part of the game, and the bickering will actually be your way of knowing who among the kids are doing the job well or who among them are shirkers.

These are among the myriads of things that happen in a growing family that should not deter you from following up on the kids in the cleaning and care of their furniture. At least even if there is so much noise from the kids because of your persistence, you would know that somehow the kids chair and tables will last longer, because you cared to see to that the children do their part.
